A pair of Sunflower County horsemen are headed to the State Championship Horse Show today.
Archie Beckwith and Lonnie Winters will compete in Jackson from today until Sept. 9, Beckwith told The E-T.
“I will be showing my horse, Reo,” Beckwith said. “I have enjoyed participating in the competition. By the grace of God, I have been able to make it to this level.”
Winters will be showing his horses, Rock and Beck.
“Getting the opportunity to compete against so many horses at the state show will be an awesome experience,” Winters said. “I give God the glory that He has given me the chance to have and ride such a majestic animal. I know our horses, Rock and Beck, will strut their stuff.”
