Stephaughn Sproulls Jr., 23, of 912 Inwood/Maple St., in Moorhead was arrested on Friday by Moorhead police and is currently in the Sunflower County Jail charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a stolen firearm, controlled substance violation and possession of methamphetamines. His bond has been set at $200,000 ($50,000 on each charge).
While patrolling on East Delta Avenue on Friday officers spotted a blue Cadillac and heard loud music coming from the car and made a traffic stop. When officers approached the vehicle they noticed a substance in a plastic bag in the driver’s side door that appeared to be crack cocaine.
A further search of the car uncovered marijuana, methamphetamine and a liquid controlled substance called lean. The officer also found two firearms that are believed to be part of the items stolen from Mississippi Police Supply store in Ruleville last month.
Moorhead Police Chief Bobby Walker said the case has been handed over to the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
