Services for Albert “Maine” Edwards of Sunflower will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Persimmon Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Sunflower.
Mr. Edwards, 64, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Elder Jessie Ward will officiate at the services.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Mary Edwards of Sunflower; his mother, Bertha Edwards of Sunflower; one son, Michael Williams of Milwaukee; three daughters, Daniela Hayes of Indianola, Sarah McNeal of Memphis and Bertha Williams of Itta Bena; twelve sisters, Ruthie Robinson of Indianola, Dorothy Hawkins, Charlene Edwards and Betty Davis, all of Sunflower, Jessie Harrington, Ashley Edwards, Anighya Edwards, Angela Edwards and Jessica Edwards, all of Chicago, and Martha Edwards, Catherine Edwards and Earnestine Edwards, all of St. Louis; three brothers, Freddie Edwards of Sunflower, and Cornelius Edwards and Joseph Edwards, both of Chicago; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
