Anthony Wayne Roberts, 49, of Indianola, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, at South Sunflower County Hospital.
He was born Nov. 4, 1968 in Hollandale to Robert Alexander Roberts Jr. and Elizabeth Tilson Roberts. Anthony loved his family, shopping trips with his brother, fishing, riding his bike, and making lamps. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Anthony had a very friendly demeanor and was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Vellie Perry; paternal grandfather, Robert Alexander Roberts Sr.; maternal grandmother, Ruby Avant; maternal grandfather, James Edward Tilson Sr.; father, Robert Alexander Roberts Jr.; three uncles, Edward Wayne Tilson, James Edward Tilson Jr., and Thomas Denson; and aunts, Alma Denson and Wanda Dobbins.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Tilson Roberts of Indianola; brother, Robbie Roberts and his wife Tammy of Indianola; three uncles, Earnest P. Roberts of Greenwood, Jerry Lee Roberts of Greenwood, and James Howard Tilson of Bronson, Florida; and four aunts, Diane Rodriguez of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ruby Rowe of Arlington, Texas, Carolyn Maxine Hutto of Winnsboro, Texas, and Susan Tilson of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Linn Baptist Church Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
