Ardie Lucille Harbin-Pepper, affectionately known as Lucy, 66, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 14, 2017 at her home.
Lucy was born May 19, 1951 in Dublin, to Glen and Ardie Green Harbin. She worked in retail sales for many years. Lucy loved playing Farkle, talking on the telephone, and drinking strong coffee. She enjoyed cooking soul food and made the best biscuits ever. Lucy loved her family and loved spending time with them. She was a member of God’s Harvest Church of God in Indianola.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gene Harbin and Jimmy Harbin; and two sisters, Peggy Chandler and Marie Moore.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammie Thomas of Horn Lake and Tracey Harris and husband Jimmy Joe of Indianola; one son, Stacey Pepper of Horn Lake; two brothers, Jeff Harbin of Gulfport and James Harbin of Mokena, Illinois; five sisters, Julia Carpenter and husband David, Virgie McPherson and Joann Roper all of Greenwood, Nina Fratesi of Horn Lake and Faye Pryor of Water Valley; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at God’s Harvest Church of God in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
