Beverly Capps Warnock, 89, of Greenwood and formerly of Indianola, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1, 2018 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
She was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Porter, Okla. to Elbia and Bertha VanTuyl Capps.
Mrs. Warnock and her husband, Boyd, lived in Florida for 15 years prior to moving back to Indianola. She worked as a courier for Planters Bank in Indianola for many years prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Warnock was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Norman Bowers; second husband, Boyd Warnock; and step-daughter, Lynn Russell.
She is survived by two children, Brent Bowers and wife Karen of Greenville, and Brenda Mancini and husband Paul of Carrollton; step-daughter, Jan McCoy and husband Joe of Ruleville; four grandchildren, Lori Skelton and husband Rob of Collierville, Tenn., Ricky Bowers of Port Gibson, Josh Bowers of Oxford, and Bubba Mancini of Cleveland; and six great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Monday, June 4, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial followed in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the employees of Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood for their kind and compassionate care of Mrs. Warnock.
