Billy Ray Edwards, 55, of Holcomb, formerly of Shaw, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020 at Merit Health – River Oaks in Flowood.
Billy was born in Tupelo on March 3, 1964, the youngest of sixteen children born to Erskin and Minnie Lee Donald Edwards. Even though he was the youngest child, he still thought he was the boss of them all. Billy loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching football.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Erskin Edwards and Minnie Edwards Roncali; and three brothers, Gene Edwards, Ronny Edwards, and Ricky Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Edwards; son, Justin Edwards and wife Magen; daughter, Lacey Adams and husband Zach; four grandchildren, Molly Edwards, Ridge Adams, Emmie Edwards, and Raylan Adams; five brothers, Tommy Edwards and wife Mary, Lee Ottis “Pee-Wee” Edwards and wife Jean, Faren “Butch” Edwards and wife Barbara, Kenny Edwards and Joe Edwards; and seven sisters, Martha Hester, Margie Goslin, Sarah Ray, Rita Roncali, Brenda Manning, Linda Auserwald and husband Donny, and Tina Garcia.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 27 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Burial will be held Friday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Ark.
