Christine Fruge Aderholt, 62, of Leland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, at Delta Health – The Medical Center in Greenville.
Christine was born Aug. 28, 1961, in Lafayette, La., to Clifton and Greta Veillon Fruge. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her husband and children. Family meant everything to her. Christine never met a stranger; she would talk to anyone. She had the biggest heart of anyone. Christine enjoyed coloring, doing puzzles, sewing, embroidery, and going for rides. She and her husband were always out somewhere.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Greta Fruge, and brother-in-law, Darrell Sonnier.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ernie “Butch” Aderholt of Leland; two daughters, Rachel Michelle Hicks of Haleyville, Ala., and Kelly Jo Fulton of Leland; stepson, Jason Edward Aderholt (Martha) of Brandon; stepdaughter, Tammy Patrice Ellis (Jerry) of Foley, Ala.; two brothers, Kirk Fruge (Rhonda) of San Angelo, Texas, and Clifton Fruge Jr. (Linda) of Kermit, Texas; two sisters, Sandra Sonnier of Kermit, Texas, and Nidra Thibodeaux (James) of Eunice, La.; and four step-grandchildren, Charlie, Maggie, Lucy and Henry Aderholt.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
