Services for Clementine Richardson Williams of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Williams, 85, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at her home.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Alexis Hamilton will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Williams was a founding member of The Regalettes Social and Civic Club (55 years) and was also affiliated with the Sunflower County Educational Association; the Mississippi Association of Educators; the National Education Association; the Sunflower County Retired Teachers Association; the Martin Luther King Birthday Committee; and The Bill Richardson Civic Alliance. She was also a charter member of the Dorothy I. Height Quad Counties Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.
Mrs. Williams is survived by three daughters, Katrina (Robert) McDowell of Jackson, Bridgett (Milton) Collier of Houston, Texas and Candace (Wesley) Stringfellow of Missouri City, Texas; three sisters, Hester Powell and Macelle (Van) Turner, both of Memphis and Sara (Arthur) Thomas of Indianola; three grandchildren, Roderick (Taniairy) McDowell of Katy, Texas, Kennedy Stringfellow of Missouri City, Texas and Lucas Revis of Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren Troy and Abel of Katy, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
