Funeral services for Corrine Vanlandingham Scheider of Indianola were held Monday, August 7 at 10 a.m.at Burton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Scheider, 81, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
The family received friends on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola.
Burial was in Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale.
Corrine was born March 24, 1936 in Coahoma County and was the daughter of Hadie and Mattie Tackett Vanlandingham.
She worked for Sunflower County for over 40 years, holding many positions. She served as a clerk for Judge Bob Randall, and following his death was appointed interim Circuit Court Judge. Corrine continued to work for the Circuit Clerk’s office until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and the Ole Miss Rebels and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Conrad Scheider; two brothers, and three sisters.
Mrs. Scheider leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Patricia Lynn Scheider of Skyline, Ala. and Dena Scheider Daniel and her husband Cliff of Pearl; two grandchildren, Rachel Daniel and Allen Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah Daniel and Jeremiah Daniel.
