Darrell Lamar Russell, 65, of Waveland, formerly of Moorhead, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, La.
Darrell was born on May 30, 1953 in Moorhead, to Harris Douglas Russell and Margaret Richardson Russell. He was a member of Moorhead Baptist Church and was a commercial truck driver before his retirement.
Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Richardson Neal and brother, Donald Harris Russell.
He is survived by his father, Harris Douglas (Marietta) Russell of Moorhead; children, Dawn (Marty) McGraw of Canton, Kim (Ed) Johansson of Bay St. Louis, Megan (Jeremy) Rodgers of Cullman, Ala., Jonathan (Jordan) Russell of Metairie, La., and Robert Russell of Waveland. He is also survived by brothers, Doug (Charlotte) Russell of Moorhead and Jon-Brighton Russell of Sunflower; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 22nd at 2 p.m. at Indianola City Cemetery.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
