Donald Calvin Posey, formerly of Indianola, passed away on Jan. 9, 2019 at University Medical Center in Jackson,
He was a track star at both Indianola High School and Mississippi State University. He participated in one of the greatest Mississippi State Basketball events known as "The Game of Change". He loved scuba diving, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and repairing old vehicles. He retired as Oktibbeha County Administrator.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Carpenter Posey.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Lou Posey.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Starkville, with the funeral service immediately following.
The Rev. Chip Stevens will conduct the service.
Interment will follow at a later date.
