Donald Wayne “Donnie” Bridges, 66, of Indianola, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at his home.
Donnie was born June 21, 1957, in Itta Bena, to James Edward and Louise Hocutt Bridges. He was raised in Clarksdale, where he graduated from Clarksdale High School. Donnie was a hard worker until his health declined. He worked at Houston Fiberoptics in Texas for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Bridges and daughter, Jacqueline Webb.
Donnie is survived by his mother, Louise Bridges (George Kirksey) of Indianola; daughter, April Posey (Chris) of Philadelphia; brother, James Edward “Eddie” Bridges Jr. (Frances) of Hernando; sister, Vicki Grice (Bill) of Dermott, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Sayda and Paxton Posey.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m.
