Dorothy Mae Causey Ludke, 83, of Sunflower, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.
Mrs. Ludke was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Bolivar County, to Joe Wesley and Esther Tucker Causey. She was a waitress for Magnolia Best Western in Vicksburg for many years until her retirement. Ms. Ludke moved back to Sunflower around 1980 to be closer to her family. She was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church in Sunflower.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Ludke; brother, Buddy Causey; two sisters, Lela Dunn and Estelle Perrigin; and nephew, Oland Dunn.
Mrs. Ludke is survived by her brother, Henry Causey and wife Nell of Branson, Mo.; special nieces, Ann Reed and her children Chuck Reed and Tina Correro, Louise Curry and her children, Cathy Curry, Jennifer Lumbley, and Cindy Hankins; and her great-great nieces and nephews, Vincent Paul Correro, Melissa Correro, Brandon Curry, Harley Lumbley, Wyatt Lumbley, Caila Hankins, MaKenzie Hankins, and Chase Hankins.
The family received friends Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Park in Vicksburg. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
