Services for Earnest Jackson of Itta Bena will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5th at Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Itta Bena.
Mr. Jackson, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4th at Victoria’s Chapel, Greenwood (formerly Byas Funeral Home), which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Pitts Cemetery, Itta Bena.
The Rev. Charles Jackson will officiate at the services.
Mr. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Rosie Sanders of Sidon; one son, Brandon Jackson of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Josephine Jackson and Shellie Jackson, both of Itta Bena and Catherine Johnson of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Eddie Jackson of Toledo, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rickie Leroy Pannel, 63, of Oxford, formerly of Indianola, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at his home.
Rickie was born Dec. 10, 1955 in Indianola, to Ledger and Lillian Christine Mitchell Pannel. He was a graduate of Indianola Academy and Delta State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Rickie worked as a Certified Public Accountant in Indianola for over 30 years. He was a loving and devoted father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ledger and Christine Pannel; and one brother, Jackie Pannel.
Rickie is survived by two sons, Dr. Stephen Pannel and his wife Dr. Katherine of Oxford and Mitchell Pannel and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford; one daughter, Dr. Louise Turman and her husband Clint of Inverness; and six grandchildren.
The family received friends Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial followed in Indianola City Cemetery.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
