Services for Earnest Stowers of Isola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, Isola.
Mr. Stowers, 87, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in the church’s cemetery.
The Rev. Herron Wilson will officiate at the services.
Mr. Stowers is survived by five daughters, Emma Stowers of Greenville, Fredrika Johnson of Memphis, Lisa Stowers and Francis Stowers, both of Isola and Mattie Benas of Naperville, Illinois; eight sons, Robert Duncan, R.J. Stowers and Arthur Stowers, all of Chicago, Calvin Stowers, Lyndell Stowers, Willie Stowers and Brian Hall, all of Indianola and Earnest Stowers Jr. of Isola; two brothers, Roy Stowers of Indianapolis and McArthur Stowers of Atlanta; two sisters, Mae Francis Daniels of Indianapolis and Lorene Myers of Indianola; 65 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
