Services for Effie Johnson-Mitchell of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Johnson-Mitchell, 89, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Ellis Johnson will officiate at the services.
Ms. Johnson-Mitchell is survived by one daughter, Bertha Johnson of Crete, Illinois; one son, Kaplan Mitchell of Crete, Illinois; three sisters, Eddie M. Greer of Greenville, Bernice Matthews of Indianola and Gloria (Charles) Brinkley of Gallatin, Tenn.; three brothers, Phillip (Barbara) Johnson of South Holland, Illinois and Ellis (Daisy) Johnson and Apostle (Marie) Johnson, both of Indianola; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
