Harvey Lee Forrest, 66, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Monday, August 14, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born September 11, 1950 in Indianola, and was the son of James and Mavis Ouzts Forrest. Harvey worked at Supervalu as a diesel mechanic for over thirty years until his retirement in 2005. He was a United States Army Veteran. Harvey was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He truly enjoyed mechanic work and building motors.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James Forrest and Richard Forrest.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Geraldine Grantham Forrest of Indianola; one daughter, Sonia Hernandez and her husband Jose of Belzoni; two sons, Kenneth Forrest and Brian Forrest both of Indianola; one sister, Brenda DeLong of Jackson; one brother, Johnny Forrest and his wife Melissa of Moorhead; and three grandchildren, Adam Hernandez, Anna Hernandez, and Alexander Hernandez.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
