Our beloved mother, Jacqueline C. Turner of Indianola, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at the age of 95.
She was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Itta Bena to El Caney and Nancy Arnold.
Jackie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Indianola since 1967. She retired from Planters Bank of Indianola after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Caruthers; her second husband, Charles Turner Jr; and three brothers, E.C. Arnold, Hamp Arnold, and Wallace Arnold.
Jackie is survived by her sons, William Caruthers Jr., and wife Kim Caruthers, Charles Caruthers and wife Charlotte Caruthers, and Stephen Caruthers and wife Tammy Caruthers; grandsons, Christopher Caruthers and wife Crystal, Jon Caruthers and wife Winona, and Patrick Caruthers and wife Amanda; granddaughters, Katherine Castaneda and husband Marcus, Ann Carraway Caruthers, and Ella Caruthers; and great-grandsons, Christian Castaneda and wife Danica, Evan Castaneda and wife Briley, Connor Caruthers, Everett Caruthers, Cameron Caruthers, and August Caruthers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Guy Burke will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
