Services for Jacqueline Theresa Quintini Phillips, known by most as “Jackie” and to her family as “Minnie,” were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Indianola.
Mrs. Phillips passed quietly Sunday evening, July 23, 2017, at South Sunflower County Hospital.
Visitation was Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service time at the church. Burial followed in Indianola City Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home of Indianola.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Bay St. Louis and attended St. Joseph High School. Later she was employed as an X-ray technician where she met her husband, Dr. A.M. Phillips. They came to the Mississippi Delta and set up a medical practice and home in Moorhead, where they raised a family of nine children.
Mrs. Phillips was an active member of the Moorhead and Indianola communities and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player, belonging to several local bridge clubs. She was a devoted mother to her nine children, 22 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, leaving behind a rich heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Augustus Quintini and Alma Betz Quintini; her husband Dr. A.M. Phillips; two sisters, Lorraine Quintini Kidd and Donna Quintini Anderson; one brother, T.A. Quintini; and two grandsons, Jonathan Lute Zepponi and Luke Cameron Phillips.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Page Clifford and her husband, George, of Orange Beach, Ala., Albert Maury Phillips II and his wife, Suzi, of Brandon, Donna Lynn Zepponi and her husband, Terry, of Holy Ridge, Elizabeth Ann Phillips Pannel of Indianola, Charles Vannordan Phillips of New Orleans, Jackie Leigh Phillips of Greenwood, Courtney Rhett Phillips and his wife, Katherine, of Indianola, Dwight Redigo Phillips and his wife, Mitzi, of Olive Branch, and Guy Malone Phillips and hiswife, Rivers, of Sunflower; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joel Raymond of Houston, Texas.
