Janice Miller Evans, 74, of Isola, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.
Janice was born March 22, 1948, in Indianola, to John Miller Jr. and Manette Hendon Miller. She was employed as a human resource specialist and payroll clerk at SuperValu in Indianola for 42 years prior to her retirement. Janice was a member of First Baptist Church in Inverness and a member of Delta Human Resource Management Association. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jimmie Lee Evans Jr.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmie Lee Evans III (Beth) of Inverness, John Albert Evans of Kiln, and Jody Evans (Kathryn) of Inverness; sister, Sharon Ervin (Paul) of Inverness; five grandchildren, Bann Evans, Julia Smith, Mikayla Smith, Avery Brynn Evans and Kate Hammond Evans; and one great-granddaughter, Zaylee Rose.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Inverness. Burial will follow in Caile Cemetery in Caile.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
