Services for Jessie Young of Memphis, formerly of Indianola, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Inverness.
Mr. Young, 67, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Adoris Turner will officiate at the services.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Mary Young of Indianola; three sons, Christopher (Nicole) Walker and Antonio (Nikita) Walker, both of Elkhart, Ind. and Zedric (Robert Graves) Young of Memphis; two daughters, Shranda (Derrick) Williams and Tusha (Maria White) Young, both of Memphis; 17 sisters, Sadie Faye Shelby and Tina Brandon, both of Memphis, Temple Spivey of Silver City, Elizabeth Bush, Veanna Head, Sandra Reed, Joyce Turner, Rosie Green, Georgia Green, Doretha Green Robinson, Janet Green and Laverne Green Perkins, all of Indianola, Sophia Turner Hayes of Coffeyville, Kans., Everlena Young Brown of Detroit, and Gloria S. Young, Lillian Sampson and Dorothy Jean March, all of Isola; 11 brothers, Jonnie B. Willis of Kankakee, Ill., Fred Turner of Chebanse, Ill., Victor Turner and Dexter Green, both of Indianola, Lynn E. Green of Spencer, Okla., Roosevelt Young Sr. of Isola, Willie C. Williams, Andrew L. Young, Curtis L. Young and Milton Young, all of Belzoni, and Leotis Young of Kokomo, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
