Services for John Willie “Mr. Pete” Washington of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Inverness.
Mr. Washington, 88, died Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Gregory Strong will officiate at the services.
Mr. Washington is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Washington-Sample of Indianola; three sons, Jerry Washington and Willie E. Washington, both of Indianola, and Dennis A. Washington of Raymond; one brother, Ivory Washington of Isola; two sisters, Mary Washington and Katein Lowde, both of Isola; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
