Johnny Boyd Hill, 72, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville.
He was born Jan. 24, 1946 in Louisville and was the son of Roger Olen and Lillian Stevenson Hill. Johnny was a self-employed truck driver for many years until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Johnny was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason Hill; and a brother, James Olen Hill.
Johnny is survived by his son, John Hill and wife Carla of Indianola; his daughter, Jackie Martinez of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; one brother, Jessie Wayne Hill of Southaven; one sister, Nell Box and husband Jimmy of DeRidder, La.; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 9, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Burton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
