Jonelle Carnes Romine, 69, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and formerly of Indianola, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Good Samaritan in Hot Springs Village.
Jonelle was born Oct. 3, 1950 in Jackson to Robert and Joann Lindsey Carnes. She worked many years in the banking industry as a bookkeeper and teller. Jonelle was very shy and reserved but had a sweet spirit. She loved her Lord, her church, her bible study, her little dog, and her husband, Steve. Jonelle was very active with the church’s women’s retreats. She was a good and faithful servant and would always pray for her family. After retirement in 2004, Jonelle and Steve moved to Hot Springs Village. She was a member of Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village.
Jonelle was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joann Carnes.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve Romine of Hot Springs Village; two brothers, Johnny Carnes of Fairhope, Ala. and Steve Carnes of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
