Kavanaugh Elizabeth Lee, 73, died Jan. 14, 2019 at Hill Country Care Center in Dripping Springs, Texas, from complications of lymphoma and dementia.
Kavanaugh, daughter of Joseph Rupert Lee Sr. and Kaddie Rose Parker Lee, was born Oct. 22, 1945, in Greenville. She graduated from Inverness High School and completed her Associate’s Degree at Mississippi Delta Community College. She later attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Her career included being a librarian in Memphis, Tenn. and Houston, Texas and serving as an Insurance Adjustor for several major insurance companies. Throughout her life Kavanaugh enjoyed an amazing love for books. Her interests ran the gamut from Science Fiction to British historical fiction.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Edwin L. Parker Jr. and Rosalie Howell Parker; and paternal grandparents, Joseph L. Lee and Mamie Baird Lee.
Ms. Lee is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Savino (Charlie) of Wimberley, Texas and Terry Lee Brink (Mike) of Cresco, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Rupert Lee Jr. (Susan) of Indianola and Madison and David Lamar Lee (Jennifer) of Taipei, Taiwan; 14 nieces and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her cousin, Mary Dana Baird (Tommy) and aunts, Maggie B. Parker and Marie Parker, all of Inverness, and numerous other cousins.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hill Country Care in Dripping Springs for their compassionate care of our sister and will be forever grateful for the kindness they showed her in her final days.
