Lynne Laney Parker, 69, of Belzoni, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Lynne was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Greenville, to Hugh and Frances Cumberland Laney. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Parker Farming Company, Braswell Enterprises, Superior Parts, Delta Air and Silent Shade Planting Company. Lynne played league tennis for many years. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with her friends. Lynne was a loving wife and mother and adored her grandchildren. She was a member of Belzoni Church of Christ.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shelia Domino; and a grandson, Hayes Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Lee Parker; two children, Brian McClellan (Shan) and Dana McClellan Carter, all of Belzoni; one brother, Danny Laney (Kim) of Hempstead, Texas; three grandchildren, Garret McClellan (Caitlin), Maury McClellan and Laney Carter; and two great-grandchildren, Brielynne McClellan and Ruthie Kate McClellan.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services were held at 10:30 am, Monday, Nov. 14, at Belzoni Cemetery in Belzoni.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
