Margaret Warnock Pilgrim, 78, was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.
Margaret was a longtime resident of Moorhead, where she worked at MDCC in the vocational technical field for 30-plus years. She loved her community, her co-workers, her Bible study friends, and the people of Moorhead Baptist Church. She served Moorhead Baptist Church as choir director for 37 years while also being involved in VBS and Children’s Church. Margaret was an active and vocal supporter of MDCC and MSU sports. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. Her love of singing will be greatly missed here but the family is strengthened by knowing that she is singing now for all eternity, finally freed from Parkinson’s disease.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, John and Oweta Smith; her brother, Gary Smith; and her husband of 50 years, Robert “Rabb” Warnock.
She leaves behind her daughter, Amy; a granddaughter, Mari Margaret; her husband of seven years, Mark Pilgrim; stepchildren, Bubba (Kelly) Pilgrim and Missy (Jimmy) Bolin; step-grandchildren, Tripp (Neely) Pilgrim, Caleb Pilgrim, Hunter (Katherine) Bolin, Mary Steelman and Kate Street; and step-great-granddaughter, Emma James Steelman; and two sisters, Pat Worsham and Katherine Ezell.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Moorhead Baptist Church. The funeral service began at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Veronica Pritchard officiating. Burial followed at Moorhead Cemetery.
Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
