Mary Sue Wilson, 82, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at her home.
Mary Sue was born Aug. 23, 1936 in Sunflower to Celoie and Susie Mae Robinson Wilson. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Ms. Wilson worked for Cleveland Public Schools for many years as an English teacher before her retirement. She was a member of Ruleville Baptist Church.
Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Sonny Wilson, Joe Wilson, Melza Wilson, Billy Wilson; and two sisters, Nettie Mae Ingram and Lorene Muncher.
She is survived by three daughters, Debbie T. Mitchell of Senatobia, Barbara Blansett of Carollton and Cindy Frusha of Little Rock; two sons, Bob Tackett and his wife Nasrin of Mathiston and Dan Tackett of Starkville; two brothers, Leon Keith and his wife Faye of Inverness and Frank Keith of Belleville, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Bethany Williams, Lee Mitchel, Magee Mitchel and Robert Tackett, III.
The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
