Patricia Dianne Brown, 68, of Ridgeland, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.
Dianne Brown entered Heaven with a smile on her face. She loved the Lord and did not fear death, so with friends and family surrounding her, she peacefully slipped into a body made whole and pain free and joined her beloved parents who passed before her.
A Moorhead native, Dianne graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College and Mississippi College.
Following her dream of acting, she appeared in numerous theatre productions in the Jackson Metro Area. She moved to Dallas to expand into larger theatrical venues and even got a few roles as an extra in movies.
Again, desiring to spread her wings, she moved to California where she worked at Warner Brothers Studio. A highlight of her time at Warner Brothers was performing onstage in a Warner Brothers Anniversary Gala.
When Dianne returned to Mississippi, she continued her theatre work as an actress and director. She appeared in some commercials as well.
New Stage Theatre and The Center Players’ audiences enjoyed her hilarious comedic performances as well as her more serious roles.
Dianne was a true theatre patron and loved performing.
Her work at the Center Players received recognition and accolades, including Best Director statewide and nationally in theatre competition.
Theatre was not her whole life. She was a very active member of Pinelake Church, where she was faithful to work with the sound and video teams on Wednesday nights.
Dianne was loved by those whose paths crossed her own, and hundreds of people are expressing their sadness at the loss of their beloved friend.
Dianne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gertrude and A.P. Brown. She leaves a large family of cousins who mourn her passing.
The family received friends Tuesday, April 10, 2018, from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Moorhead Baptist Church in Moorhead. The Reverend Ray Bridges officiated at the service. Burial followed in Moorhead Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
