Richard Clifton Standard, 88, of Indianola passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Richard, affectionately known as “RC”, was born Dec. 3, 1930 in Holly Ridge to Cliff and Almarie Johnson Standard. He was a farmer for most of his life. RC was a very hard worker and an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kennis Smith Standard; two sons, Johnny Standard and Jerry Standard; and two sisters, Frances Standard Miller and Maurice Rodgers.
R.C. is survived by one daughter, Sharon Miller and her husband Henry of Hollandale; two grandchildren, Richard Miller and Amy Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Winters and Takaya Winters.
The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
