Services for Roosevelt Smith of Ruleville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Indianola.
Mr. Smith, 62, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at North Sunflower Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Dillon Funeral Home of Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Gilfield Church Cemetery in Doddsville.
The Rev. Jean Paul Smith will officiate at the services.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Pauline Smith of Sunflower; five children, Rose Delk, Willie Covington and Shameeka Savage, all of Portsmouth, Va., Demethria Campbell of Indianola and Derrick Johnson of Sunflower; eight sisters, Mary Olivia Smith of Jersey City, N.J., Augusta Smith of Queens, N.Y., Rose Gatlin, Dynetha (Robert) Love, Carolyn (David) Walker, Debra (Marvin) Walker and Latoya Smith, all of Indianola, and Shemeka (Cordarlo) Lipsey of Kansas City, Mo.; nine brothers, Sammie Jones of New York, N.Y., Willie George (Stephanie) Smith, James (Cheryl) McAbee, Anthony (Demetrius) Smith, George (Chiquita) Smith Jr., all of Indianola, Jean Paul (Fredia) Smith of St. Louis, Mo., Robert Smith and Wilson (Shell) Smith, both of Sunflower, and Tyre (Katria) Smith of Renton, Wash.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
