Services for Ruthie Jean Phillips of Greenville, formerly of Indianola, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Phillips, 68, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with a family hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements.
Burial was in Riverside Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Eugene Anderson officiated at the services.
Ms. Phillips is survived by one son, Walter C. (Samantha) Phillips of Columbus, Ga.; one sister, Josephine Anderson of Chicago; five brothers, Eugene Anderson of Drew, Robert Anderson of Greenville, Jessie Howard of Fort Meyers, Fla. and Frank Anderson and Fred Anderson, both of Chicago; four grandchildren, Jaylan and Telisma Phillips and Rakiya Kyle and Kristian Gibson, all of Columbus, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
