Services for Shannon Duane Fike of Ruleville, formerly of Indianola, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Burton Funeral Home.
Mr. Fike, 44, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Ruleville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ruleville.
The family received friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial followed in Indianola City Cemetery.
Shannon was born July 31, 1973 in Indianola to John Duane Fike and Dorothy Jean Nelson. He was a member of Roundaway Baptist Church.
Shannon was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Duane Fike; two aunts, Frances Horton and Alice Feretti; and one uncle, James “Buck” Downs.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jean Nelson of Ridgeland; one sister, Tiffany Fike Smith and her husband Lee of Ridgeland; one niece, Britton Smith; three aunts, Ann Pinion and her husband Billy of Indianola, Diane Tingle of Pearl, and Kathy Alford and her husband Earl of Indianola; two uncles, Danny Fike and his wife Linda of Grenada and Buster Fike and his wife Pat of Indianola; and a host of cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
