It doesn’t matter where you are at; there you are! What a profound statement. Have you ever stopped and really thought about what this is saying to us?
I have heard this statement several times throughout my lifetime and have really never stopped to analyze the verbiage in it. This is tremendous statement and has much more meaning to it than most people will think about.
Many times, during our lifetime we will be at a point where we need direction. We may not know where to turn or what to do but something we cannot escape is the fact we are at that point in time. It is up to us to do the right thing and if we have allowed Jesus to be in control of our lives then this seemingly impossible situation will soon pass.
There are many families that face crisis because self-inflicted desires get in the way. Whether is a financial situation, a family problem, a death, an addiction to drugs or alcohol, or anything similar, we allow ourselves to become stressed and start searching for answers. Many times we will look in the wrong places or to the wrong people for assistance and create an even deeper sense of stress and allow ourselves to become depressed over something that can be handled through prayer and seeking the Lord’s face.
For Christians we have a promise that “if the Lord brings you to it, He will see you through it.” All one has to do is read Psalm 91:4-6 to understand about the safety of abiding in the presence of God.
God knows us better than anybody and also knows the trials and tribulations that will come our way. He is in total control and all of us that know Him personally understand this. Sometimes He allows us to go through these tough situations to remind us that He is our God and He is there for us and it does not matter what the situation is.
Personally, he answers all of our prayers even though we may think He doesn’t. Many times, His answers are not what we want to hear. As a country He is always here for us also. All we need to remember in recent years is September 11, 2001. I firmly believe that this was a time when the Lord allowed tragedy and pain to come not only to many families but to all Americans and a proud country. It is my hope that we learned from this that the Lord is in control and He will take care of us.
It does not matter what kind of turmoil, pain, health issues, death, or any personal issues we have, we need to call on the Lord for strength and endurance to see us through them. Many times, on personal issues he may not want us to do what we want to do but will open another door which will always be better for us.
