Good Mornin’! Good Mornin’!
The cable/ROKU/HULU box has been scoured and depleted, well nearly. Doesn’t matter how long this quarantine lasts, that tiger show will never be viewed.
The radio is ok but there’s no hiding from beer virus news and updates no matter what you tune in.
I wonder what Paul Harvey’s News and Comments would sound like in reporting about this pandemic? I’m pretty sure he’d reassure us that the sky is not falling but certainly a chunk or two has hit the ground. But take a deep breath, pray and like Walt Disney said, “keep moving forward.” It’s going to be ok, it will just be different.
I just can’t wait until there’s a new normal – with or without masks and gloves and Lysol.
With no sports to watch live or in person, I’m wondering what the professional athletes are actually doing. Probably trying to stay healthy and finding ways to work out at home and keep skills sharp.
With so many folks wearing masks out in public I have no idea if I’ve been within six feet of any professional athlete or famous folks for that matter. I was wondering if I should start a game of freeze tag at the grocery store.
Maybe not?
I’ve started organizing my desk, I’m trying to throw away junk in my basement and I’m spending entirely too much time on Amazon but I have found some cool gadgets.
The only problem is a majority of them are made in China. Just seeing those words on a package sends shivers up my spine. How about you? But I have found a new pillow, joined Plexus to try and lose weight, looking at a newer iPhone, found a used copper pot to try and make my grandmothers’ candy but now I need to get it re-tinned. I didn’t know that was a thing. It is.
Still trying to work at home is a challenge and every small jaunt to replenish needed items like cheese, potato chips, whatever meat I can find and give the toilet paper aisle a glance is a welcomed yet brief reprieve from my work at home chair. And speaking of my chair, it broke.
In its defense it was 28 years old and standing on it to reach something wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had. Now I’m using a shorter chair and had to find a gel pillow to raise me up a bit. Now I’m searching for a better yet used chair.
There are plenty out there to be had.
I keep looking at my electric guitar and know this is a great time to pick it up and sharpen that dull skill but I keep getting distracted with work and Amazon and lots of other trivial things.
I often wonder how folks survived things like Little House on the Prairie and other such settings? I guess they experienced boredom but didn’t have as many creative outlets to try and cure it. I wouldn’t have survived the Oregon Trail without Internet access…lol.
The rest of the story? I wish Mr. Harvey were here to let us all know. Oh, and Ernie says “hey.”
