To the concerned citizens, concerning the supervisors having a vehicle to do the work you elected us to do. For 16 years I have used my personal vehicle and that's okay.
The state law allows the county to provide transportation for the supervisors and other counties are doing it and has been for a long time. I don't need the county to provide me a personal vehicle for my personal use. I am well able to do that myself, with God's help.
I do my job and I am in need of a vehicle to continue to do my job. The law allows it, and I don't think it's out of order to do so.
The state provides transportation, cities provide transportation, farmers provide transportation, Supervalu provides transportation for their salesman. Many other companies and businesses provide transportation for their employees to do the work for their business.
So, why should the County Supervisors have to use our personal vehicle to do the county work? We work for the county.
