It is time to rebound back into the win column.
That rebound effort will also include attempting to avenge the Gentry High Rams’ first baseball game loss of the season.
The end result will be that the Rams will take a trip to Yazoo City High School today for a rematch with the Indians.
Owning a 2-1,0-1 record following this past Tuesday’s 21-1 Region 3-4A home-field loss, the Rams and the Indians will clash at 4 p.m. today.
However, the Rams are scheduled to play again this Saturday before Spring Break brings an absence of games.
Taking the short trip to Hollandale Simmons High School on Saturday, the Rams will participate in a round-robin tournament to close out pre-Spring Break action.
Game times and opponents for this upcoming tournament are to be announced.
Due to the upcoming Spring Break, it will be March 21 before the Rams will play another baseball game.
In this past Tuesday’s loss, the Rams suffered an error-laden outing and the Yazoo City squad took full advantage of the opportunities.
Leading the hitting for the Rams was Troy Griffin with a triple and a single. Also drilling a pair of singles was Elijah Power.
