Their final day of baseball garnered their first victory of the season.
While they did not have to throw a pitch, hit a ball, or run the bases to secure the victory, the Gentry High Rams accepted a forfeit from Holmes County Central High School last Thursday.
However, after the forfeit, the Jaguars did arrive in time for the second game of that day’s scheduled doubleheader and went back to Lexington with a 17-15 victory over the Rams.
The split left the young Rams squad as owners of a 1-11, 1-5 final record for their 2025 season.
There were four seniors wearing their Gentry High Rams uniform for the final time last Thursday.
Included in this group were Mitch Davis, Jakori Hodges, Tyler Liddell and Tyler Wright.
