In a rematch just a week later, the Humphreys Academy Rebels took down the North Sunflower Academy Rebels, 21-6, in Drew.
The Rebels hosted the Colonels of Indianola Academy on Tuesday but fell, 10-0.
The Colonels got on the board in the first inning after Ty Killebrew homered to center field, scoring two runs. IA added two runs in the third. Easton Lloyd singled to center field on an 0-2 count, making the score 4-0.
Levi Williamson was on the mound for the Colonels. The starter surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking five. Grayson Barnett began the game for North Sunflower. The starter surrendered six hits and eight runs over three and one-third innings, striking out six and walking four.
The Colonels collected nine hits in the game. Blayne Flemming led, with three hits in four at-bats.
Omarion Williams and Brayden Bowen each collected one hit for North Sunflower.
The Rebels host Calhoun Academy on Monday, April 6, and then travel to Greenville’s St. Joe on Tuesday, April 7.
