Program
The youth of Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church announces their Annual Youth Day program to take place at 11 a.m. SUNDAY. The speaker for this occasion will be Tristan Thomas, a member of Bell Grove and a senior at Gentry High School. The community is cordially invited to attend and masks will be required.
Annual Black History Program
New Hope Church of God in Christ, located at 600 Forrest Street, Indianola, invites the public to their Annual Black History Program, which will take place at 2 p.m. SUNDAY. Senator Sarita Simmons will be the special speaker for this occasion.
First Friday
Film Fellowship
At 7 p.m. on FRIDAY, MARCH 3, First Presbyterian Church, located at 311 Catchings Avenue, Indianola, is hosting their monthly First Friday Film Fellowship in which a movie is viewed and discussed. Films are selected across a variety of genres (action, classic, comedy, drama, romance, sci-fi) in an effort to learn about different perspectives. March's movie focuses on faith in a troubled world and has been referred to as a "Christian Crash." "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Everyone 13 and older is welcome to gather in the FPC fellowship hall for popcorn and a discussion of the film's cultural and religious issues. 113th Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, located in Lake Village, Ark., announces their 113th Annual Spaghetti Dinner, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY, MAR. 5. The dinner ($15 for adults/$10 for children) will consist of noodles, red gravy, meatballs, Italian salad, lemon dessert and bread – all items homemade! There will be limited reserved tables and individual dine-in tickets available for the church’s Saint Mary’s Parish Hall. Containers will be provided for carry-outs.
