On January 25, 2025, the Board of Directors for Restoration Ministries Christian Academy (RMCA) honored the founders of the Academy, Pastors Richard and Michelle Jenkins for 20 years of educational excellence.
In 2005, the Jenkins - with prayers, vision, and practically no money – established Restoration Ministries Christian Academy (RMCA), a school of “academic excellence in a Christian environment” to serve the dire educational needs of the children of the Mississippi Delta for grades K3 through 12. Serving an average of 100 students per year, RMCA maintains the highest accreditations for a Christian school with ACSI and Cognia (SACS) school accrediting associations.
In the past 20 years, many students have graduated from RMCA and gone on to complete higher levels of education, assumed professional positions in the public and private sectors, joined the military, and became successful adults.
These students often return to the Academy to thank the Jenkins and the wonderful teaching and administrative staff for the education they received, which has allowed them to compete on a global scale.
When asked about the many recognitions that the Academy has received over the years, the Jenkins replied – “It’s only God!” Pastor Richard and Pastor Michelle serve as the Administrators of the Academy.
The board presented them with a certificate and a plaque.
Making the presentations were Mr. Christopher Howard, Dr. Ivy Anderson, Dr. Peggy A. Buckner, Mrs. Lottie Clay, and Mrs. Jeanette Bolden.
