Sharon Logan Wade, 76, of Inverness, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at South Sunflower County Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Isola, to Raymond and Ileana Hughes Logan. Sharon worked as the secretary for Sunflower County Farm Bureau for 40 years prior to her retirement. She was past president and current chief of staff of State of Mississippi VFW Auxiliary. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness where she served on the hospitality committee for many years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, reading, and cooking. Sharon was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ileana Logan; husband, Bobby Wade; and sister, Karen Cummins.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sonya Wade Lee (John) of Louise; son, Brewer Wade (Sherry) of Tupelo; two granddaughters, Marion Lee McGill (Bradley) of Yazoo City and Madison Wade Clardy (David) of Talladega, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Quinn Clardy, Jack Clardy and Samuel McGill; brother, Raymond Logan of Augusta, Ga.; brother-in-law, Billy Cummins of Canton; two nephews; and one niece.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service began at 2 p.m. with Bro. Greg Hood officiating. Burial followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola was entrusted with arrangements.
