Shirley Brooks Floyd, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2026, in Cookeville, Tenn. Born Jan. 16, 1936, in Poplar Creek, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and woman of faith.
Shirley lived in Indianola for over 36 years and served 25 years as office manager of the Robinson Clinic in Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her previous husband, James “Jimmy” Nolan Brooks. She is survived by her three children: Janice Leilani Farish of Jackson, Jimmy “Bubba” Brooks of Houston, Tex., and Rosanne Cooper, Cookeville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services and burial were held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East, Memphis, Tenn.
