Services for Shirley J. Swift of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Christian Fellowship Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Gardens. Ms. Swift, 70, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2024. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements. Elder Elijah Walker will officiate at the services. Ms. Swift is survived by: one son, Robert L. McPherson Jr. (Vesharne); three daughters, Dhorron McPherson, Redarisa Swift and Brendarie Swift; one brother, David E. Moffett; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
