Mr. and Mrs. Greg Alan Bruton of Hollandale announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Barry Bruton, to James Cooke Robertson III, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cooke Robertson Jr. of Indianola.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edwin Bruton of Hollandale and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Barry Brasfield of Lake Village, Ark.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richmond Lewis Scott Poindexter Jr. of Inverness and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Cooke Robertson of Indianola.
Miss Bruton is a 2008 graduate of Deer Creek School in Arcola. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences from Mississippi State University in 2012, where she was an active member of Chi Omega sorority, serving as Recruitment Chairman. Miss Bruton also earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2014. She is a recent graduate of the University of South Alabama, obtaining a master’s degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, and is currently a Registered Nurse.
Mr. Robertson is a 2004 graduate of Indianola Academy. He received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Information Science from Mississippi State University in 2008, where he was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, serving as Recruitment Chairman. He currently works for St. Rest Planting Company in Holly Ridge.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 o’clock in the evening on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Greenville.
