Mr. and Mrs. Marc Romer of Redwood City, California are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Lee Romer, to D Rials McWilliams, son of Mrs. Jane Weathersby and the late Mr. John Weathersby of Indianola and Mr. Frank McWilliams of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lucy Romer and the late Joseph Romer of San Mateo, California and Juanita Forbes and the late Jerry Forbes of Lone Tree, Iowa.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late James and Lucille McWilliams of Holly Ridge and the late L.D. and Maurie Rials of Hazlehurst.
Miss Romer is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Belmont, California and Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. She received her master’s degree in Health Care Administration from California State University, Long Beach and is currently an analyst at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Mr. McWilliams graduated from St. Andrew’s Sewanee School in Sewanee, Tennessee and Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Virginia. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Millsaps College in Jackson and is currently a loan officer at Southern Bancorp in Madison.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, August 10th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Redwood City, California.
