Facing an extended break until the new year, the Indianola Academy Colonels will be playing their final 2019 basketball game tonight.
With a trip to Manchester Academy in Yazoo City, the Colonels and the Mavericks will tipoff at 7 p.m. to settle this non-district contest.
Owning an 0-6, 0-1 record heading into tonight’s game, the Colonels most recent play netted a pair of home-court losses.
Last Thursday saw the IA squad drop a 69-30 decision to Lee Academy of Clarksdale while last Friday’s action ended with a 52-22 loss to Oak Hill Academy of West Point.
Against Lee Academy, the Colonels were led by Walker Anthony’s nine point game while Grant Coleman was close behind with an eight point effort against the Colts.
In their loss to Oak Hill Academy, points were difficult to come by as Ashton Powell’s five points paced the IA attack.
