The rain held off on Monday night just long enough for the Indianola Academy softball team to take down Kirk Academy in Grenada.
The Lady Colonels won the game 11-1.
With that win, the girls improve to a 14-1; 4-1 regular season record.
After taking care of Kirk handily, the Lady Colonels will participate in the Carroll Academy Tournament this Saturday.
The Lady Colonels will open their pool play in this tournament at 9 a.m. against Pillow Academy of Greenwood and will play again at 1 p.m. versus Madison-Ridgeland Academy.
More softball action continues next Monday with a 6:30 p.m. non-district visit to Greenville Christian School while next Tuesday takes the IA squad to Batesville for a 6:30 p.m. District 1AAA match-up against North Delta School.
