Thursday night’s road game for the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans did not end with a victory, but one Indianola native was able to leave the field on a high note.
Sophomore running back Marquivius Kirkham scored the lone touchdown for MDCC in a 51-10 loss at Jones County Junior College.
Kirkham capped off an 80-yard drive for the Trojans, with a one-yard touchdown run, according to a release by JCJC.
The 5-foot-8, 225-pound back is a Gentry High School graduate.
Drew native and Ruleville Central graduate Anfernee Pointer is also a sophomore on the MDCC squad.
The Trojans will kickoff conference play tonight as Holmes Community College comes to Moorhead.
